The majority of you know that on February 23rd I went to Baylor Univeristy Medical Center to remove my tumor, I’ll try to find what my brain looks like now that George has been removed and post it later, but I’ve been going through my MRI images. I’d have to say that I’m pretty blessed, not only was my tumor operable, but me and my family found an amazing neurosurgeon who took great care of me during my surgery. My surgery was scheduled to start around 2pm and took about 3-4 hours. I say that I’m very blessed because my tumor could have left me with slurred speech, not being able to speak or walk, however I was able to talk and walk without any issues and by the end of the week I was discharged from the hospital. For those of you who are newly diagnosed like me, don’t depend completely on what the doctors say, sometimes your body and spirit are able to fight a battle you’re not prepared to fight just yet.
